LCD Projector
Most projectors come in the shape of a box with a lens on the front as pictured below. LCD (Liquid Crystal Display) projectors allow you to project images onto a screen or interactive whiteboard. Most projectors are Mac and IBM compatible and come with features such as a remote control, stereo, and video projection capabilities. This means you can hook up and directly project images from your computer, VCR, DVD, and Document Camera.
ANSI Lumens is an industry standard measurement of a projector's brightness. Depending on the lamp, optics, and projector design, ANSI lumens range from 200 to 10,000 per projector. As a general rule, the brighter the room will be, the higher the ANSI lumens must be. If you are in a classroom and keep the room well lit, to allow students to take notes while you are utilizing the projector, then you will require a projector with enough lumens to be visible.
