Intro
The Center for Teaching & Learning works with Academic Affairs, Life Long Learning, Information Systems and Services, and Media Services to encourage the use and development of instructional methods and technology that enhance the quality of teaching and learning and institutional advancement.
The Assistant Dean of Distance Learning/Instructional Technology and Director of Instructional Design staff the CTL and train faculty and staff in the use of the college’s learning management system and other instructional media that support instruction. The CTL plans and guides the development and implementation of the college’s online credit and non credit offerings and represents MWCC as a liaison to the Massachusetts Colleges Online consortium that develops and coordinates statewide distance learning initiatives.
The purpose of this site is to:
- provide an online resource for instructional strategies, productivity tools, and reference materials,
- to help foster more effective teaching practices and create an effective learning experience,
- to enhance the quality of teaching and learning in MWCC courses, and to
- support teaching and learning at all levels and in all contexts in which instruction occurs in the college.
